Rate them
I have had allstate, progressive, and now liberty mutual
I like liberty alot, and for 2 cars only pay $955/yr
I like the fact they have 12 month policies vs 6 month
Progressive is fine, just didn't like their rates ($600 more per yr)
Allstate pissed me off trying to raise my rate 40% and then after I left them, saying I owed $260 and taking me to collections (my lawyer solved that real quick)

personally i've had great luck with nationwide, a little pricey, but they will pay out quickly. when my truck got rear-ended, the guy who hit me also had nationwide, they sent out an adjuster and i had a check for $4,200 in my hand the next day, for about $1,500 worth of damage. and when my windshield got broken from me being a retard, they paid to have it replaced that afternoon, no questions asked. like i woulda told them i parked right beside the house i was putting shingles on and dropped a gallon can of roofing cement on it anyway. 2/27/2006 1:58:44 PM |

2nd for State Farm.
$1300 for the VX a year for the top of the line coverage with zero deductable.
Had them for the Trooper when my stereo was ganked. They replaced all my shit with better, newer shit, no questions asked in two weeks. No receipts, no photos required, only one phone call to the warehouse to tell them what I had (aka, what I wanted)

I worked at a body shop one summer... statefarm was usually the least pain in the ass to get money out of for OEM parts. Of course, the ol boss cussed out a few adjusters so they didn't really give him much shit anymore..

i have USAA. i am very satisfied with their rates and customer service, but i've never had to actually use the insurance (knock on wood), so i can't comment on how well they handle incidents. 2/27/2006 3:42:00 PM |

I just got USAA. I've got the same things to say about them that Jonbo did. The rates were literally unbeatable, no other companies came close. I've also got my renters' insurance from USAA. They were very helpful, and all the processes were easy and quick. 2/27/2006 4:01:33 PM |

I have Nationwide and have no complaints. It doesn't hurt though that the agency I deal with is family owned and my family has had insurance with them for about 50 years. The service is really good at the local level, but I've never had a claim, so I don't know how Nationwide as a company is. 2/27/2006 6:48:04 PM |
