i want to make this website

i guess its similar to http://www.baseball-reference.com -- except much, much smaller

basically, lots of statistics

what would be the best method for accomplishing something like this

i figure i could use a mysql database and php, something that i'm already somewhat familiar with

what about cgi though? better? worse? pros/cons?

I mean it really depends on how indexable and integrated you want all your data to be.

Really all you *need* is some kind of wiki script and a lot of time for data entry

design the database

then batch data load.

database wise this is pretty simple.

its your web-end thats going to take time to program.
