the padding between the two arai models could be different enough of where they seem to feel different in size.

on the red helmet, it seems the styrofoam part of the helmet is a different size/shape than the yellow. the red one feels like my head was put in a vice when i put it on correctly.

the yellow one is just a hair too small, but very tolerable for me

believe me, if i could wear a medium i would, but i do have a large head.
