I have three computers set up to access the internet through a Belkin 54g wireless router. For the past several months the setup has worked extremely well. I am using Charter communications cable internet in Greenville SC. Yesterday all of a sudden I could not access http://www.pokersourceonline.com none of the computers can access it and I have tried both firefox and IE on all three. The site was not somehow added to the list of blocked sites on my router. I have also rebooted all three computers, the router, and the cable modem. This is the only site on the internet I am not able to access and I am pretty sure that the site is up because I talked to some guys from the forums and it worked for them.

I doubt its spyware since it affected all three computers at once and I was only using one. And I'm not going to reformat. Is there any way Charter could be blocking it or does anyone else have any other suggestions.

This is what I get if I ping http://www.pokersourceonline.com
---------------------
Pinging http://www.pokersourceonline.com [66.102.135.171] with 32 bytes of data:

Request timed out.
Request timed out.

Request timed out.

Ping statistics for 66.102.135.171:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss)
---------------------

I doubt that the site blocked me, it just seems like this one site is unreachable.

Seems to me that the site has blocked your IP address. Contact that sites admin if you think they've made an error. Of course, you'll probably have to gain access to their site from someone elses service.

Good luck.

well i wouldn't worry about not being able to ping them. That by itself doesn't mean they're blocking you.

http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/ping.ch?ip=www.pokersourceonline.com+

neither I or DNS stuff can ping them either, so that doesn't mean anything. I can get to the webpage fine.

try opening a command prompt and doing telnet http://www.pokersourceonline.com 80 to see if you can get a connection on port 80.

if it says could not open a connection on port 80 something between you and them is busted.
In telnet a connection will result in a blank screen (or server info depending on protocol) and it should say telnet at the top.

thanks Shaggy, tried that and got

telnet http://www.pokersourceonline.com 80
Connecting To http://www.pokersourceonline.com...Could not open connection to the host, on port 80: Connect failed

i highly doubt that they banned me either but I just sent the site admin a note saying I couldn't access and if somehow I got banned accidently

what happens if you telnet to the ip address instead of the name

so

telnet 66.102.135.171 80

66.102.135.171 is the ip address reported by dns stuff so its probably not a dns issue.

the next thing you could try is connect directly to your cable/dsl modem with a computer instead of going thru a router (if thats your current setup)
