Quote : | "German architects Manfred Dick and Johannes Kauka are about to break ground for a project that promises to be a big hit among both car and architecture enthusiasts. The "Car Loft" system features a giant elevator that brings the owner's car up to a specified area attached directly to their apartment or condo. Whether other builders around the world will pick up on this idea remains to be seen, but it sure looks cool." |

That would be nice, but don't keep a Ford in your apartment or you'll probably burn it down. 3/10/2006 11:53:12 AM |

It is a good idea for people who live in close quartes within a metropolitain area. However, rent in downtown areas for the amount of space you get is already astronomical. Only the rich will be able to afford it. Once you get outside of the city this is pretty much a worthless idea. 3/10/2006 1:05:51 PM |

And that's exactly why they show a Maserati and an MB in the two pictures, not a Honda or a Ford.3/10/2006 2:46:52 PM |

^^ i would think the elevator would be quicker than driving circles down the parking deck
it might work one day when we have to build up rather than out everywhere, but i don't see it being viable in the near future 3/10/2006 5:34:49 PM |
