For NC bbq (both kinds) check out Three Pigs in McLean.
Check out Amsterdam Falafel Shop in Adams Morgan. The owner is crazy but the falafels are amazing (and cheap).

Thaiphoon near Dupont Circle was quite good, and pretty reasonably priced. Thai food (if you didn't catch that from the name). 3/12/2006 6:12:45 PM |

Definitely agree on Amsterdam. If you're in the area, I like the Diner.

I should throw out a plug for my ole mans restaurants but they aren't inexpensive at all. Are you going to be exclusively in D.C. or will you be able to travel? That would be helpful and then I can throw out some really neat places to suit you. 3/13/2006 12:04:40 AM |

^^ DC only. I'm going mainly because I want to visit the Museum of the American Indian and we're going to hit a few others as well. However, for outstanding food, I don't mind driving a little. 3/13/2006 12:19:35 AM |
