Any type of food.
And please add the general price range if you remember it!

Thanks in advance.

There's this restaurant on 14th street, they sell sub sandwiches. $4-$6 per sandwich. I think it's called Subway?

Sorry, maybe I should specify. Looking for neat little bistros etc.. things that aren't common around here... fun eating experiences. Just not for 30$ a plate.

Ben's Chili Bowl - U St Corridor
The Well Dressed Buritto - South of Dupont Circle in an alley (1220 19th) - only open for lunch
Five Guys (Best Burgers) - Gtwn, China Town/Penn Quarter, etc

Those are classic cheap eats...most ppl in DC will know how to find them if you need help.

Bread Line - Downtown (near White House)
Lauriol Plaza (Tex Mex) btwn Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan
Pizzeria Paradiso - Dupont Circle
Mama Ayesha's - Adams Morgan
Raku (Tapas) - Dupont Circle
Sala Thai - Dupont Circle

Check out Wed at Signature's for Half-price sushi rolls (about $6 a roll).

There are great ethiopian restaurants in Adam's Morgan...but I cant remember names

For NC bbq (both kinds) check out Three Pigs in McLean.

Check out Amsterdam Falafel Shop in Adams Morgan. The owner is crazy but the falafels are amazing (and cheap).

Thaiphoon near Dupont Circle was quite good, and pretty reasonably priced. Thai food (if you didn't catch that from the name).

I'd definitely suggest checking out menupix...it'll let you check out menus by neighborhood and cuisine:

Definitely agree on Amsterdam. If you're in the area, I like the Diner.

I should throw out a plug for my ole mans restaurants but they aren't inexpensive at all. Are you going to be exclusively in D.C. or will you be able to travel? That would be helpful and then I can throw out some really neat places to suit you.

^^ DC only. I'm going mainly because I want to visit the Museum of the American Indian and we're going to hit a few others as well. However, for outstanding food, I don't mind driving a little.

What's the best place in DC for North Carolina BBQ? I've been looking for a place to take my roommates.
