seems like the only team they beat that was worth a shit was syracuse. the only other 2 they played that were worth a shit were duke and villanova. and they got their ass kicked badly both times.

it just gets to me when a team pulls an upset one year, and the next year the selection committee hooks them up based only on that.

like gonzaga used to be (i think they have earned it lately)

a lot of teams got beaten convincingly by duke and villanova; they are #1 seeds, after all

i agree that it shouldn't - but don't believe that the committee didn't get caught up in all the 'cuse hype from the past week - might have resulted in a higher seed by a spot or two than otherwise for bucknell

syracuse played like shit.... couldnt hit shots, had back to back to back turnovers down the stretch. it was just nasty.

yeah bucknell still beat them, but to my knowledge, thats the only team they beat all year

Hello from Dallas! Bucknell and Arkansas are at the same hotel as us. I find it wierd that the NCAA puts teams that are playing each other at the same hotel, I've never seen it happen before. Anyhow.......

It's the "pod system." They're trying to keep high seeds at the closest location, regardless of the region they're in.

Apparently next year they're going to switch back to a naming system similar to what they used to do (like having, say, a "Southeast" region instead of "Atlanta").
