What are some good songs to do for Karaoke that typically "bring down the house" as the kids say?

it solely depends on how good you are

but i saw this black chick do "midnight train to georgia" and the whole place was quiet until she finished, then it went nuts.

i closed one night with "don't stop believin" and had lighters up around the bar and a pretty big ovation

i mean im no frank sinatra, but I can hold my own. I want to avoid any songs with crazy background vocals or anything.

for instance...last time I did It's Not Unusual, by tom jones, and Folsom Prison Blues, by Johnny Cash

I'm thinking about doing Hooked on a Feeling haha

that might work, actually. those classic oldies usually do well

"don't pour your love out on me honey" is another one

I butchered "No Scrubs" by TLC before.

Stupid random song generators.

I KILLED "nuthin but a G thang" at playmakers. I know the whole song and don't even need to look at the screen though. oh, and I did the explicit version, so everybody was on their feet by the end.
