Long story short, I applied to work at Best Buy. I did the training, passed the drug test, hell, I went through three interviews.
Never got called in for work.
Anyway, I went up there to pick up my paycheck for the three days I trained a couple of weeks later. Some manager wasn't there so I couldn't get my check. I figured I'd come back later or they'll just mail it to me. Eventually I got another job and the pay check slipped my mine.
This was in June 2004.
Yesterday, I got a check in the mail. Post marked last week and a check with my name on it. 58$. The check was printed June 2004 sometime. Under it, it said "check expires in 6 months".
What do I need to do about the expired check? im going up the bank today and see if they'll cash it. 3/14/2006 10:25:27 AM |

throw a 2 in front of the 6 so it reads "check expires in 26 months". 3/14/2006 10:29:19 AM |

I've deposited an expired check before. If the teller isn't paying attention and you put it in with some other checks you may be able to slip it by. 3/14/2006 10:43:47 AM |

Call Best Buy HR Corporate ... probably still have your employment information somewhere on file. Shouldn't take more than a 15 minute phone call and a postage stamp to send it back to them for a new one. 3/14/2006 11:51:23 AM |
