There was a time in my life when I was REALLY into them

and REALLY sad they didn't do shows.

So if I can trick anybody into going with me I'll be there.


o shit, but Demitri Martin is tonight. So if I get a free ticket to that I'll probably do that.

GREAT show

Cassie didn't sing too much!

Sound was excellent

Setlist was excellent

Could have played longer

Got to talk with David Berman after the show

Also going to sold out Charlottesville show

Charlottesville show was the heat!

Talked to Bob Nastanovich, Steve West, Cassie, and David. Sounds like they might tour again since this one is going so well.

saw the jews tonite in madison

the silver jews, in particular the lyrical genious of David Berman, have been so important to me over the last 5 or 6 years that I found myself in goosebumps a few times tonite.

setlist was about as good as you can ask for with great representation of some older tunes.

I was so engrossed in their stage presence that I forgot to get more beer, go to the bathroom or move when people bumped into me. Cassie was beyond nervous, she forgot some words and was blushing/smiling in very cute form.

David kept stressing how they are a "new band" at one point proclaiming that they are "newer than those fucking arctic monkeys".


The opening band, Why? (thats their name) was also terrific. They are on the anticon label but are the most "indie rock" anticon artist i have ever heard

great show, one that i will remember for quite some time
