just an fyi that it's going on now. there will be an "off-road" track that you get to drive 'yotas on and it is free. should be kinda fun. at least more fun than previous years.

just got back, was kinda worth it, expected more manufacturers to be there... absent or at least ones I couldn't find:

Honda/Acura
BMW
Mercedes-Benz
Porsche

Hummer only had 1 H2 and 2 H3's, no H1's at all, caddy had a pretty nice display, but not many V series. did the toyota course with the tundra, was pretty neat, lasted about 3 minutes and got a hat, the line wasn't too long so that was a plus. The national guard had a bradley fighting vehicle which was pretty neat to see in person. Other than that just a normal auto show, a bit weaker than when it was at the convention center IMHO. Lotus had 2 or 3 Elise's and 1 Exige, neat neat cars, but cramped as hell interiors.

On a side note, best car that was in a decent price range was the Lexus IS-350, amazing interior and fit and finish, with a stunning look. I may just have to go test drive one. Also the new Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade seats suck in comparison to the previous year's model.

Leith seemingly did not participate so that is why you didn't see alot of manufacturers there.

well, the show wasn't any different from previous years. it keeps sucking up more and more every year.

.......and a fucking honda accord could've driven the toyota "off-road" track.

They wouldn't let me do the course in reverse either. Bastards.

It would have been nice to see a Leith showing, Acura/Honda, Land Rover, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, VW, and Nissan.

The Mustang GT-R was my favorite. The SRT-8 300C was nicer than I expected, the seats were rather impressive.

Now do they sell those vehicles as demos? I sure as hell wouldn't want to go to the dealer and unknowingly buy a car that hundreds of people sat in and pushed all the buttons and not to mention all the kids who thought the cars were jungle gyms.

that was seriously getting on my nerves... esp. the mom that had one of her ankle biters climb over the center console of the navigator versus taking him out of the pass. door. the damn kid had his nasty shoes all over the seats and console... i couldn't believe my eyes...

on another note did anybody see the conversion vans??? holy crap for the cost of a SUV/mini van you could have a conversion van with up to like a 26" LCD in the roof, surround sound, comfy as hell seats and a smooth comfortable ride... the guy told me that GM made the vans in AWD, I would def buy one of those before ever thinking of a mini-van or rent one for a long road trip

i did enjoy "testing the rigidity" of the tundra chassis while 4 old men were sitting in it. i shook the hell out of the truck. you shoulda seen their heads shaking violently side to side.
