I'm leaving an engineering firm located on capital blvd. They are needing someone to draft for them. You don't have to know anything about Civil Engineering, just about cad. If there is someone in the CE program thats looking for work 20-30 hours this is a perfect job for you. Pay between $12-$16 depending on experience and determination. Great place to work really nice people and work around your schedule.

$12-16/hour is good pay? sounds like what you'd pay a freshman intern.... unless of course that's what they're looking for 3/17/2006 9:54:27 AM |

What do you draw in CAD? Is it like existing stuff they need drafted, or new concepts? 3/17/2006 9:54:40 AM |

^^I was thinking the same thing.
But I guess if they dont need Engineering experience then it's not bad 3/17/2006 9:55:22 AM |

EXISTING STUFF USUALLY...
I don't know crap about civil engineering, not a lot of brain power required.
If anything new its not to scale and for looks.
And college students is what they are looking for... Someone just starting in some kind of engineering would be great but anyone will work. 3/17/2006 10:17:26 AM |

Are they looking for a permanent employee? If not, that is something I would definitely be interested in doing from like May to September.

Sounds like a decent part-time opportunity for something that can actually look good on your resume. 3/17/2006 10:45:04 AM |

They are working on a major project right now. So they kind of need at least 25-30 hours a week of dedication. But they are needing someone now, will work around your school schedule. Summer might be an option but they will also show you things about civil and structural engineering that will help people when they graduate. Good group of people they always make sure that you are putting school first.
I'm leaving in a week, if anyone is interested would like to line them up to meet the boss-men and I next week.

speaking of which I'm in need of a CAD monkey in the Asheboro area. Landscape designers also welcome to apply. Right now the plan is for the draftsmen to cleanup drawings done by our lead designer because her assistant is having to move to another position. Send a resume to Toms Creek Nursery & Landscaping; 6454 Old NC Hwy 49; Denton, NC 27239 or fax 3368572131 or email to request@tomscreeknursery.com 3/18/2006 3:41:38 PM |
