I've had this problem for a while now and it bit me in the ass.
I had a video file in my powerpoint presentation that I had automatically start 10 seconds into the slide. I set it up to be just a 3" by 3" box in my slide but when I was doing my presentation on the big screen it went full screen instead of staying with the slide and that sucked.
It was a .wmv and i think I've done movie files before and haven't had a problem but I can't remember. Does it depend on the projector or is there a way I can stop this from ever happening again? Any help appreciated. 3/17/2006 10:06:29 AM |

PowerPoint's video capabilities suck at best. 3/17/2006 10:32:41 AM |

PowerPoint's video capabilities suck period.
I always just stop the presentation and use another program to play movies. It's safer. 3/17/2006 9:20:47 PM |

It could be a lot of things...
One thing to look at though is the DirectShow settings on right-click Desktop->properties->advanced and somewhere there, there should be an option that says something like "show movies full screen" or something like that (depending on the driver). 3/17/2006 11:49:31 PM |
