99% of retail DVDs (as in movies, console games, etc.) are dual-layer discs, as it is the original DVD-ROM standard...only recently (last year or so) have consumers been able to burn in this format, however

I think the question is if they read them if burned.

My 360 reads all burned +r/-r single layer discs, but only plays the first layer of my Memorex dvd+r DLs. I haven't bothered trying any other media and would be interested to know what you find out.

J_Hova... google what a dvd+r is and a dvd-r is.

original xbox will ONLY READ DVD-R. maybe some of the newer ones will with the different dvd drives, but mine won't.

So far I haven't found much to help on that site.

Has anyone on here had success playing an xbox game backup on a dual layered dvd+r?
