No. Davis was undoubtedly going to be fired.

Some folks here think our situation was ugly. That reminded me a lot of Doherty

Major donors, alumni...all the higher ups were calling for his head mid-season. I'm not talking about message board banter.... I'm talking real pressure.

Mike Davis's situation was the first that came to mind. Sendek has it GOOD compared to him. Of course, Davis was much more outspoken in a negative way than Sendek is. Davis has never heard of "coach speak" that ^you keep refering to

^yeah through his situation, quinn snyders and all of the other coaches that have recently resigned, stepped down or got fired I don't recall any of them being defended by other coaches, especially at the extent Herb has been defended.

^^^one difference....Quinn Snyder is NOT a good guy, he's NOT a good coach, and he's apparently got a problem keeping it in his pants. Nobody in their right mind would defend him. He actually deserved the criticism.

I dont think Davis deserved it at Indiana, and Herb doesnt deserve it here for the most part. They both deserve SOME criticism, but not the hatred.

Very few do it in a short period of time. I think we have some solid recruits and some good freshman that are going to be able to turn some heads.

yes, he's a good coach... but alot of other coaches have done more with less in a shorter period of time.
