For those of you interested. Also Slackware 11 should be available soon.

Hello,

It's my pleasure to let you know that SLAX 5.0.8 has been released.
All users are strongly encouraged to upgrade, because all new modules
created from now are not readable in older SLAX releases.

Download SLAX from
http://slax.linux-live.org/download.php

What's new?
- The long-awaited SLAX Server Edition is finally available
- All other editions are updated too.
- Using 2.6.16 Linux kernel
- Fixed bug in mounting of dos partitions (long filenames work now)
- The uselivemod and configsave feature work again!

More information can be found at
http://slax.linux-live.org/changelog.php

If you miss your favourite software in SLAX, visit the modules repository:
http://slax.linux-live.org/modules.php
There are 603 modules ready for download and use on the fly.

Thank you very much for using SLAX
Have fun

yours
Tomas M

As far as "live CDs" at least from what I've used and seen, Slax is the best one. This is strickly my opinion though.

And it's not really a Slackware live CD, its a seperate project, but based on Slackware.. In fact I'm about to change my old Debian box to a Slackware testing box and my XP machine to a stable usable Slackware box.
