i will never be upset about who makes it to a final four or a championship game. thats just retarded. if you earn it, you earn it. its like people complaining a few years ago when the marlins were in the world series. just stupid.

that being said, i've thought from the beginning of the season that there was an incredibly amount of parity this season, and in my opinion, thats not always a good thing. personally, an upset or two is great, but when it gets to be seemingly every game, it gets a little ridiculous. its been very apparent in this tournament, and the final four is just a microchosm of the situation all season. but since we're where we are now, i'm on board with the true cinderella story.

^ and ^^ Did you see the game last night? Memphis and UCLA were AWFUL. Neither team deserved to win that game - it's like LSU-Texas should have been the national semifinal on that side of the bracket instead of just a regional final.

I saw that and I totally agree, it was horrible I went to bed last night feeling like I wasted my time watching that game. The UCONN/GMU game was exhilarating but UCLA made me want to loose respect for West Coast basketball.

tracer, I'm not necessarily saying that Memphis and UCLA are horrible teams overall, just that they played awful last night. UCLA shot 35% from the field for the game, and 51.3% for free throws (20/39). Memphis was 31.5% from the field and 60% for free throws (9/15). There were a combined 35 turnovers. It was an extremely ugly game.

I just don't understand how anyone can complain. These have been close games that although painful at times, have been pretty fun to watch at least at the end.

I'm sorry for anyone who wants to see the same teams, same players every year, but it's nice for me to watch teams that have fought their way to where they belong and to watch matchups that no one predicted.

If two teams play shitty, then the one who won obviously played better and therefore deserve to have won. The logic that some of you are using to define what teams do/don't deserve to be where they are astounds me. We all know there are games when the refs can make or break it and it's THOSE games where you could say that the teams didn't deserve the win...but because they aren't playing as well as they could be and still win isn't a reason to say they don't deserve it.

Let's take this game on right now, like was just pointed out, Nova is shooting 24% and are only down by 3.... so at the end of this game everyone should say, 'GEE...I want that time back because I had to watch crappy basketball'

I think this is the ideal final four, so far you have an amazing underdog story, and 3 teams that are young, athletic, and really playing loose. That is asuming Florida can pull it out. If Villanova wins you continue to have the atleticism but then you add the upperclassman stories. I am so excited that George Mason has a shot at the National Champioship, that would be the greatest story ever.
