So i have some money left from birthday in dec, and such, and I've decided I"d like a decent webcam.

The last time i looked at them they were all grainy/shitty or very very expensive for anything decent, but that was a couple years ago (i did run the search function but the last thread I found was over a year ago).

Any recommendations? I'm looking for something pretty nice, but just a simple webcam (I already have a decent digital camera and probably wont upgrade till after i'm out of grad school)

I was thinking about posting this just yesterday.

I want to set one up to monitor my front yard and bust people letting their dog shit all over the place.

Preferably like it to take screenshots or compress a daily feed so I can review it at night for shitters.
