Please tell your friend that hundreds of unwanted animals are put down every year because there are not enough homes to take them in. I'm not talking about agressive animals that are unadoptable, I'm talking about "time and space" euthanasia- when a community or a shelter does not have enough time to find them a home or shelter space to house them.

This puppy does need a home, but I hope that whoever takes it has the puppy spayed/neutered. And I hope your friend stops breeding her animals!

SPCA of Wake County says: One cat or dog who has babies and whose babies have babies can be responsible for the birth of 50 to 200 kittens or puppies in one year! Almost everyone loves puppies and kittens, but some people lose interest when these animals grow up. As a result, millions of cats and dogs of all ages and breeds become strays or end up in animal shelters. Rarely surviving for more than a few years on their own, strays die painfully by starvation, disease, freezing or being hit by cars. So please don't delay, spay and/or neuter your pet today.

i'm interested, but i'll be damned if i pay for a dog. I don't care if the dog's parents are the canine equivalent of Prince Charles and Diana.

I don't understand how you think you can seriously promote the purchaser of this pup to be spayed or neutered?

I totally understand hundreds of animals that aren't purebloods need adopting. My family owns 2 of said animals right now. But asking someone who buys a dog they like to NOT breed is outrageous. It's the same as knowing hundreds of thousands of human children are in foster homes right now, so I should adopt a child rather than breed one w/ my wife.

I don't blame you for advertising for adopting animals, but don't suggest that people should not breed dogs that they choose.

No. But suggesting people "not breed dogs" is retarded. It's a "sport", of sorts, and people with money and passions to go to that dog show (whatever it's called) will continue doing their thang.

breeding dogs for dog shows are TOTALLY different than someone who has 2 dogs making puppies. the 2 can't be compared.

I just wanted to clear up what happened with these two dogs...it was a complete accident...she usually kept the two separate when the girl was in heat, but the male got out accidentally and then (for lack of better words) they got "stuck" and the owners were too late in realizing what had happened so they couldn't pull them apart...they hadn't spayed or neutered the dogs because they were thinking about breeding them a little later on....but because of the timing, they need to get rid of the dogs....

it's not like they are people. you can just put down extra puppies that are unwanted. and don't say it's cruel or whatever because those puppies have no idea what death even is. these puppies are purebred and are actually worth something.

at least this person's friend allowed purebreds to mate instead of some fucking mongrel mutt neighborhood dog jumping a fence and impregnating another unholy conglomeration of god knows what.

what's wrong with breeding dogs for money? it's not like they are breeding them to throw out on the side of the road. if it were not for "breeding animals for money," a large portion of the NC and US economy would disappear.

the only people who breed dogs and make alot of money are those running puppy mills, where they treat the dogs as products and only care about them reproducing. These animals aren't loved, aren't taken care of, are treated as machines. they often live in their own filth, in cages stacked upon other cages, defecating on eachother. They are irresponsible and could care less about the well being of the animal. (do some research)

Most people who breed dogs for show or agility only breed when they want another dog to show/compete or to improve the breed and usually have a long list of potential adopters.

regardless, this little puppy was an accident and it needs a home.
Asking a fee for an animal that has received any sort of vet care is common. asking for any money ensure the owner has money to take care of it. if they can afford $200 then they can probably afford vet bills and food.
You're gonna pay about $120-$200 for a puppys first vet visit, checkup, deworming, fecal, and round of shots. so consider it breaking even.

They are a popular breed and it will hopefully find a great home.
bttt for the puppy.
