I Supported both Chuck and Herb, but if one actually HAD to go, I would have chosen Chuck.

Y'all make it sound like Chuck is a bad coach.

He isn't. He just can't learn from his mistakes and stay out of his assistant coaches' hair.

We should have kept herb and stopped bitching, amato is the one that really needed to go.

I don't see the connection between the two. If Amato wins he stays, if not he goes.

just don't understand why 10 years was not enough time for herb but 6 years is way too long for amato.

I find it hysterical that most of the herb Loyalist already want Amato gone when he has been here far shorter than Herb. Yeah the last 2 seasons were kind of Pathetic, but he did do something that Herb fails to do consistantly...beat the Power House of the conference (For Amato - FSU, for Herb - UNC/Duke (take your pick)). And Amato did it twice. I say give him a couple more years and see what he can do, if he cant win at least 8 games per season over the next 2 years, then it might be time to look for that change.

I don't know why our assistants keep bouncing so damn fast (whether it is Amato bugs the shit ou of them, or whether our program is a feeder to NCAA Head Coaching/NFL Assistant Coaching). But I think if we can get a settled staff that does not play Musical Chairs every season, then we can top 8 games.

Oh yeah, and a fucking QB that can play the position - Every Week!!

Yea, I obviously don't think learning from mistakes or letting your assitants due their jobs as traits to judge a coach by.

i just see a good crop of coaches we could pick from right now in the college ranks...

and we pay amato way too much to win 5 or 6 games every year.

and while i think herb is a class act, i questioned his position at nc state as well.

That makes him a bad coach

He beat FSU 3 times actually.

You have it all wrong. Its not ok to just beat a powerhouse. Esp. not with the talent that we have here

people need to understand that before MA Foxe came here NC State did not have thoughts about Football. There is no storied past to NC State football. And Chuck hasn't been here as long as Hebert J. Sendek was.

Chuck only gets one chance per season. Herb gets 2-3. Chuck has also developed several pro athletes, and that speaks well for recruiting. Once he figures out how to build a solid O-line he will have a good program. Sendek couldn't develop one of the best players in the country into a respectable pro athlete.

give Chuck 4-5 more seasons. I don't give a fuck

just make sure to "help him pack" (as you all offered to do for Herb) when we don't reach a BCS bowl game

UNC has a decent defense this year

they will limit Stone to 2-10 passing for 25 yards and 30 yards rushing on 50 carries

Worst logic ever. Last I checked, there about 1000 times more spots available in the NFL than the NBA. By your own logic about "number of chances," Chuck in his six years has had vastly more opportunities to develop pro talent than Herb in his ten years thanks to the sheer number on the football team.

chuck has put people in the pros that are stars now. What did herb do? Todd Fuller? Wash out. Julius Hodge? NBADL. Herb does not develop talent.

Brian Williams is not a star. He didnt recruit K. Rob who is also not a star. You should have went with Adrian Wilson who Chuck didnt recruit and played for him for 1 season. P. Riv just be came a starter, and has career nfl game experience of 4 games and 17 completions
