I'm referring to the ones in the dorms.
i realize giving a measurement in terms of "smokiness" will be difficult. 4/3/2006 1:42:45 AM |

You can blaze in your room with little fear of the detector going off. No worries. 4/3/2006 1:49:09 AM |

Depending on the battery strength, they can detect between a 6 and an 8 on the Briggs-Hauser scale. 4/3/2006 1:49:37 AM |

Used to cook in the dorms without any problems.
I'd be kinda paranoid though and I'd sometimes cook in the bathroom, where smoke/steam is a regular. 4/3/2006 2:26:50 AM |

smoke detectors in Wolf Village are a lot more sensitive than the other dorms.
but that's why there are windows to open, ceiling fans to turn on, and a vent over the oven, too. 4/3/2006 5:27:07 AM |

yeah, just blow the bong smoke the other direction, you'll be fine
but when we were freshmen...we took a paper towel roll and put a dryer sheet around the end of it with a rubber band and blew in that thing
man...i do NOT miss those days. 4/3/2006 9:24:45 AM |

well the ones in the apartment will go off at the slightest hint of smoke if i am cooking. But if someone else is cooking, the place could be burning down and it wont go off.
