Tonight the elections server went down shortly before 11 PM due to limited quota in the file system. This problem had been brought to IT's attention two weeks before election days, but went unaddressed. By this time, well over 95% of the student body that intends to vote has voted according to past elections data.
In response, the Elections Commission is allowing paper ballots to be submitted on the second floor of Witherspoon by 12:40 AM (Wednesday). Time was extended 40 minutes since that is how long the server went down with no notice. Please consult http://students.ncsu.edu for more information.

Is it a requirement that the voting ... "server" .... be hosted on NCSU space? Seems like nothing but problems thus far.4/5/2006 5:32:48 AM |
