I need some polisher bonnets made. I will supply the microfiber material and even elastic if need be. I just need someone to cut the microfiber material, and sew the elastic band on. I'll come with a template (well, a bonnet that you can destroy to make a pattern). Need someone who can stitch this well enough that it does not fall apart in the washing machine.
I figure I will want 16 of the bonnets made to begin with, but if you do a good job, I'll be coming to you to do terry cloth and replacements. Send me a PM with a quote. I'll pay cash.

It costs me $3.50 per bonnet if I order. its ridiculous. I am looking for around $1.50 per bonnet. If you want, I would bring you the already cut out material and elastic and just ask you to sew it on. Should be quick order work. 4/6/2006 11:37:09 PM |

to do that right would take 10-20 minutes a bonnet. Which equals out to like 6 bucks an hour to do painstaking detail work.
AKA, 3.50 isnt a bad price. Buy en masse 4/7/2006 12:06:13 AM |

Well, I've done an entire airplane interior before. stitching a little elastic band around some material isnt that painstaking. I imagine someone with some skill could do each bonnet in about 3-5 mins if I had the bonnet already cut out. But I'll find somebody 4/7/2006 12:30:23 AM |

$3.50 isn't bad. Truly.
The person who posted above about being paid for the work is tottally right. By the time you pay for the cloth, the elastic, and pay the person anything reasonably worth their time, you've crossed the $3.50 mark I assure you. Additionally they'll have to buy thread (ha ha laugh if you will but it's more expensive than you think). 4/7/2006 11:15:09 AM |

i wouldnt bother with sewing elastic on
i would have someone just sew a hem around the cloth and thread an elastic drawstring through it
and then when you are bored at work or something you can thread your bonnets 4/7/2006 3:54:53 PM |

yes. unless you're gonna go searching for some illegal workers, you're gonna have a hard time finding anyone (on TWW at least) to make those for $1.50 a pop. I could make them, maybe. (I sew plenty, just don't have experience with elastic) but I don't really know if it's worth the time and effort. 4/7/2006 4:41:07 PM |
