My two candidates are Steve Nash (again) and Lebron James. Im leaning a bit more torwards Nash, b/c not only does he contribute with pts, but his teamates are averaging career highs in scoring due to his passing ability and court vision which is ungodly. All this w/o stoudi, just imagine if he were playin'!!

Lebron is just a fuckin animal. Kid has shown so much improvement and has been beasting all season. It's gonna be a tough call this year.

This one is really up in the air, with the likes of Elton Brand, K.G, Kobe Bryant and others all having an outstanding season.

my top 3 are Nash, Kobe, Lebron.

Why people are mentioning Tony Parker is beyond me

i dont agree with putting billups in the mvp list, at least so high. he's a solid player, but im sure the pistons could pick up the slack without him as deep as they are. i assume the argument here is that he's the best player on the best team? i dont see that as being the same as "most valuable" lebron is nasty, but id pick nash since the team hasnt lost a beat despite losing so many players to trades/injuries...give nash any player and he'll make them good

Nash and Lebron for sure

Melo has been doin his thing to along with the struggles that team has gone through... injuries, trades, and now shootings...

nash is my final choice cause you can see the before/after effect of the suns since his arrival...someone explain why billups derserves it besides the fact besides being a good player on the best team (i think ben wallace is more valuable to that team myself)....could billups do this on a team that didnt have 4 allstars in the starting lineup?

Kobe - small example was yesterday when he started the fourth quarter on the bench and his team went from 1 down to 9 down in just two minutes while Nash was on the bench for the Suns.
It has to be Nash, Kobe and Lebron.
But I would give it to Kobe, made too much history this year and obviously if the lakers were without him, they would win about 15 games all season.

my beef with kobe is that the team together doesnt do much....he's the best individual player in the league, but i wouldnt say he doesnt improve his team that much...i think if he was gone, lamar would probably pick up a lot of the slack and a couple of other players would do more...without kobe, the scoring of the team would be close to the same, but coming from more than one source, which is harder for defenses to contain...in my opinion

not necessarily more, but they wouldnt win just 15, what they'd lose in an awesome scoring threat they would gain in a more varied offensive attack (and odom would be noticably more influencial than he is under bryant)

^^^^ look at Odom's averages with the lakers compared to his with the heat in the east a couple years ago. it's not like he was doing muuch better.

notice that his rebounds in the last two seasons are just about higher than ever, also his assists average is one of his career bests, the only thing is that this season he is averaging 2.4 points less than when he was with miami and clippers.

Look at how much confidence k.brown now has because of Kobe along with a lot more players. Even Jordan wasn't able to make k.brown better. They all just need to be tougher and not a bunch of pussies.
