after losing in the Champions League quarters to Villareal, a loss considered too early and apparently unacceptable by its fans

This is the first time I've heard of anything like this, a whole team getting bumrushed

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/12237087/

From another article...

the fans chanted, "You win when it does not count"

and

"Frustration at Champions League elimination added to that already felt by fans at the team's failure to win the Serie A title since 1989 despite fielding players including Adriano, Juan Sebastian Veron, Luis Figo and Alvaro Recoba."

These people still make monkey noises and throw bananas at black players. I'm not surprised in the least.
