Chuck makes ~$1 million per year in salary alone.
I'm not quite sure what else he has rolling in at this time, but what do you think his reaction is/will be when we sign a new coach to at least double what he is making?
Knowing Chuck (not personally, but based on what I have seen and heard) he is pretty egotistical and has no quams about wanting to be the "big man on the block". What is the likelyhood that the Chuckster asks for some type of raise or something to boost his annual salary? 4/11/2006 4:17:07 PM |

probably zero seeing as he has no leverage after such a sub-par season 4/11/2006 4:17:50 PM |

He's got to know he's in basketball country, doesn't he?
But if Panthro's onto something and this forces Chuck out, I call dibs on making the "Bill Cowher as replacement" rumor thread. 4/11/2006 4:18:51 PM |

I agree to all of those statements, especially with his record as of late.
But the fact remains that the Chuckster would no longer be the "draw" coach of his university. I dont think that is something he could handle.
I say he demands at least an incentive based upgrade in salary 4/11/2006 4:20:44 PM |

actually, we pay chuck exactly what we paid Sendek, which is $275,000. Sendek made a total of $800,000 after endorsements were added in. Amato makes a total of $750,000 after you add endorsements.4/11/2006 4:23:11 PM |
