The intern would work under the joint mentorship of Adena Messinger, Transportation Planner and Starr Wimberly, Wolfline Transit Manager for all projects and tasks.
Must be a graduate student in any major with an expected graduation date of May, 2007.
Salary is $12.74/hour with federal withholding paid in addition to hourly wage plus up to $750 for travel and seminar expenses.
Conduct Peer University Benchmark Study
Create benchmarking criteria Identify and contact peer universities Conduct benchmark analysis Make recommendations
Develop and Implement a Transportation Development Plan (TDP) Public Involvement Program
Determining neighborhoods to hold meetings (both campus neighborhoods and community neighborhoods); scheduling and facilitating meeting Documenting input and coordination Inclusion of route recommendations and public input into a TDP

PhD candidates will be finishing up their dissertations and not go for this. Master's students presumably already have funding or have found a mean for funding until their 2 years are up.
