Even though State lost a hard fought, 13 inning game against ECU tonight in Greenville, I have to give props to Ryan Pond for making one hell of a catch in the bottom of the 13th inning. ECU's batter hit a missile over the left field fence that should have won the game for them.... BUT... Ryan Pond made a hell of a leap over the fence into the Jungle to take it away and rob the guy of a game winning homerun. It may be the best play I've ever seen at the college level and it happened right in front of me.

It sucked that we lost, because I got heckled all the way to my car. But, that's the way it goes in baseball. You win some, you lose some!

Thrill, I was there also, a litte farther towards center from where Ryan made the catch. What did you think about the play at 1st that Avent argued? My angle, I thought he was out, but I was 300 ft away and didn't have the best angle, did you have a better look?

That's the fastest I've ever seen Pond run. It was a ball he probably should never had caught, but he was bird dogging it and made a helluva play.

From my perspective, the guy looked out. I think the umpire made the wrong call, but it was pretty close. Did you notice how many balls State hit to the warning track? I think they need to hit the weightroom!

both times we played down at greenville this season there's been a stiff wind blowing out to right and of course most of those shots went to left-center. would those have gotten out without any wind period? who knows. however, the ball Witter hit for EZU would've gotten out even if the wind was blowing in. that ball was crushed.

and that was definitely an amazing catch, It was even better to hear the whole crowd go silent after he made it.

and I love how the ECU fans kept saying that we were the worst team in the ACC and that our win at home against them didn't count cause it was at home....umm, pretty sure that they won at home as well. And apparently driving to Greenville to support the baseball team makes for an unexciting evening and means that we have nothing better to do. Gotta love EZU.

We'll get them at Doak on Tuesday for the second time this year, I hope I see some of those fuckers that I saw at the game last night.

We were in right field and the fans were really giving Brian Aragon a hard time....at one point someone was like "I bet your parents don't even like you faggot" and his dad was right behind them and was like "Actually I do, and hes not a faggot, faggot."

His dad is the one who is always smoking a cigar over in the student section at our games.

The ACC has 5 teams in the top 25, and Wake Forest would make 6 but they had a bad week and dropped from #20 out of the ranking.

But yes, We have the #3, #4, and #5, spots with UNC, FSU, and Clemson

I had 3 little punks, probably freshmen, jump up in my face at the end of the game yelling 'Fuck State Man, 264 will be a long ride tonight, Fuck State!' It was pretty classless if you ask me (although I know State fans do some of the same shit). It was almost as if they thought they had won the World Series. I'm glad I had the will power to walk away because if I had to hear that much longer, I might have just unleashed on their asses!

During the game, a guy behind me started yelling "Go home", his face was classic when I turned around and told him I did come home since I was from Greenville, and I had enough since to get out of town. He then started yelling "Go back to highschool" so I just laughed at him. After the game he got in my face and started yelling "State sucks" so I just listened.
