I'll help...sell your 8g earrings and buy something useful. 4/16/2006 8:40:13 PM |

1) Get someone else to do it-- you can go to a place like Warlock's or Blue Flame and they'll do it for free, though you might want to tip them a buck or two for their time.
2) Get one of your friends to do it with a tiny pair of pliers-- I've found it exceedingly difficult to do it myself. Ease the ring up a micron or two, put the bead in, and squeeze it back in place. (I've used a spare pair of cat nail clippers instead of pliers on up to 10g and it worked.) Powder your hands or use powdered latex gloves if you have butterfingers.
3) Get curved barbells in the future. It's much easier to screw a bead back in yourself than force a bead back into a tension ring. Also, cockatiels and other small parrots can't pull them out. 4/16/2006 8:45:01 PM |

Sonia youre awesome
i was wondering if there was a fee to get the good ol boys at blue flame to do it, i tried like regular pliers and they leave notches in the ring
