Even if you just consider the scoring....Bird shot a higher FG% and FT%.

Bird may be slower but he'd shoot the J over Pete all day long.

Hell, as amazing as redick was for duke, pete still outscored him by 900 points without the three ball and only playing 3 years of varsity basketball.
