when i open reader it kinda stalls for a while then works perfect while the file is open, then i close it out and stalls for a while again.

why.

ive uninstalled and reinstalled.

could other adobe programs cause it?

Acrobat loads all of your system fonts and a bunch of plugins when it loads. Do some google searching and read about how to cut down on the number of things Acrobat loads to increase loading time.

i have adobe reader 7

they said that 7th edition doesnt have acrobat, but has some kinda speed loader something or another.

best thing is to get rid of as many plugins as possible (i.e. almost all of them, if all you want to do is open and print PDF files). Follow the steps here

or just get a different PDF reader, like
