So is it possible to put more than one line in a cell?

yes. type what you want on the first line, press alt+enter, type what you want on the second line

i've always hated that keystroke. Alt+Enter makes no sense - you should never have to use Alt when trying to write or format text. Should be Ctrl+Enter, like in Word where you want a new line but no paragraph break

^^ sometimes you want to put in a line break regardless of the cell width though

^^^^^its shift+enter in word, not ctrl+enter. ctrl+enter is a continuous page break.
