Please don't come here. We really don't need another coach who likes teams full of white trash and shoot 150 3's a game.

i wouldnt mind if he came here
he's got experience and he's ~30th alltime in division 1 wins
i'd be happier with Beilein than with Lavin

That's why I won't believe anything until I hear the words from Lee Fowler himself.

^ what do you expect he coaches at West Virginia. He wasn't the first, and he won't be the last coach to have those type of players on a Mountaineer team.

Just wanted to post something here to keep this thread "NEW!"

Odds are just as good that tommorow they will announce Beilein as our new head coach as they will announce Lavin.

I want Lavin, but will support either when named.
If they announce Bleilein then I will learn how to spell his name correctly and post on the future theads about how great he's gonna be with proper spelling.

WHY WOULD BEILEIN LEAVE A BETTER PROGRAM IN A BETTER CONF.???

The reason I don't believe that a press conference would be held tomorrow for Beilein is that Sunday there is supposed to be a dinner held to honor him and his senior players which include his son. I am pretty sure that he would not be in attendence for that type of an event if we was no longer the coach at WVU. Since it is so close to that event I would believe that State would hold out, I can't think of a time a coach chose another school prior to a ceremony to honor him and his players that would occur within less than a week.

At this point the AAU game is over, so there is really no difference between making the annoucement this week, if it involved Beilein or waiting till next week. Stranger things have happened though.

because he is losing all of his players and WVU isn't a better program. they've been a better team the past few years, but it isn't a better program.

NC State has far better facilities and a much bigger draw for recruits. I could EASILY see beilein wanting this job.

^^^Since coaching hires and fires are made all of the time between the end of the NCAA tourney and all of these "banquets"...why would this be any different??

Only difference is his son being on the team. But let's say Beilein is suppose to be coming here and information is leaking all over the place and by the time the banquet comes around everyone is talking about it...that would be awkward as shit (and you know his son would know). Why not go ahead and just let the cat out of the bag and just concentrate on the kids and the banquet??

But I'm just giving you another way to look at it.

^And do you really like West Virginia??

I'm sorry. But I guess Morgantown's nice...but I hate the rest of that state (except for Snowshoe).

well beilein's son would most likely know about beilein coming here. i just don't think he'd go to the banquet at all if he were announced our new HC before then. i don't think a few extra days will make much of a difference in this search at this point, but who knows.

I'd love to have this guy, but unfortunately his having won everywhere he's been means nothing to us. Based on what I've read, we don't want a coach whose won so much as we want a guy with a crazy personality who plays UNC style ball.

We won't beat UNC by being UNC.

It's a great video that does a great job selling the coaching job Beilein has done with that team in the 2005 season.

that isn't gonna make any difference.

we have 4 star and 5 star players on the team now, he won't stay where he is just becase of one player, that he could probably bring with him anyway (2007 recruit).

^^there's a good chance that guy will follow him here. if beilein leaves wvu, i can guarantee that guy won't stay there. he said specifically that beilein moving would seriously affect his decision.

this guy's got a good 10 years left in him, and could probably work wit hte athletes we have... so i can deal with that...

but this is Fowler's last shot imo, if this guy turns us down he'd be coach number 4... if ANYONE thinks fowler is doing a good job aftre that they should be shot... hell, even if we do get him i think that he needs to be seriously considered for dismissal...

"Just heard from an unnamed source.

Beilein is gone. Sorry kids. Begin...hating....now.

According to my sources Neubeur was contacted this morning by WVU.

If you know me, you know I don't post rumors. If you don't, well you can choose to believe me or not, but ask around, I spread no lies. Especially since earlier today I was convinced he was staying. "
