long story short:

the most important thing to understand about hinduism is that, at a fundamental level the Hindus don't pay great importance to the literal meaning of scriptures, but rather, to the metaphorical and philosophical meanings hidden behind those words (paraphrased from wiki).

we're just better scientists and mathematicians than we are conquerors and facists. the spirit of the law is ALWAYS greater than the letter of the law. tolerance for ambiguity is vital, and faith does exist, but is based on "understanding" not "doctrine". for example, the letter of the law is that the atom is the smallest unit of matter...until you discover the electron...until you discover the neutrino...and so on. think of it as an algorithm or a protocol.

also, the notion of Karma lets you have moral relativism without being morally bankrupt. matter of fact with this concept, you're enabled to use your conscience to quantify your good deeds vs. bad deeds. its a tougher situation to be in because you can't wake up one day and just have all your sins be erased by virtue of a prayer. you have to put some real effort into it.

As a Hindu, I very strongly believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he died for our sins.

Its just that I don't think that was the one and only time God came down here to fix stuff. Rama and Krishna were also incarnations of the divine being (incarnations of Vishnu of the holy trinity).

According to church estimates, they are around 40,000 out of a population of 10 million. It makes them a much larger group than Greek Jews, who currently number around 5,000.
But followers of the ancient religion isn’t limited to people living in the Hellenic Republic (I believe that’s Greek’s actual official name) so the number is higher than 40 k I’d imagine.
