the bar is slightly bent in the middle from the people that had it before me. I have a piece of wood that can go under the mattress i you want it.... i usually also have a comforter that goes over the mattress, it is more comfortable and hides the part that looks bent. Anyways...let me know if you want to come see it to judge for yourself
