if it were really awesome, then it would have been $0

but, still a nice money saver nonetheless

considering the cost of the pump

and the cost of the labor involved to get to the intake gasket....

I'm pretty damn happy with $75.

the ABS electric hydraulic controller probably controls your ABS hydraulics electronically. that is, fancy solenoids and valves and junk

I called up Merlin at St. Charles Isuzu in MO, (the de facto source for OEM parts and free shipping) and he quoted me a factory price of $2487.84

Apparently even at the lower price, Carmax has to send down an "Inspector" to take alook at the unit and determine its dysfunction.

And this isn't just a vehicross part, its a trooper/rodeo/axiom part as well.

i don't understand the vehicross gimmick - is there a website that details the "greatness" of this vehicle - it's still an isuzu right?

http://www.wildtoys.com/Vehicross/history.asp

That gives you the history in a nutshell. Mind you none of the "cool" features besides the TOD made it into the production vehicross. And its far from "environmentally friendly" or "Lightweight".

Its mostly just a love it or hate it thing. If the asthetics don't appeal to you then its not your bag.

actually those things are called "Fangs" in the parts catalog.

and three people have already SAS'd their vx's, each of them had another that they keep stock for the road.

Quote :
"VehiCROSS' DOHC 24-valve V6 employs variable induction, direct-attack valvetrain and coil-over-plug ignition (as do all Isuzu V6s). While you may not see all this technology at work, you'll definitely feel it in VehiCROSS' spine-compressing 215 horsepower."

sorry i just thought that was funny.

its a pretty interesting vehicle.

I like these a lot. I would get one if I had stupid amounts of money to spend on a whim.

They remind me of older Toyota Rav4s.

Everytime I see you around Kildaire/Maynard/Walnut I have to take a second look at that thing to be sure of what it is.

its usually dirty.

And I'll gladly let anyone take her for a spin. Not so much spine compressing anymore with the bigger rubbers on her though.

got my baby back today.... damn its nice when you don't have huge vacuum leaks in your intake and injectors.

Also , turned out my deductible was only $50.

Although they DID change my oil without telling/asking me... didn't use synthetic either

So now tomorrow I have to change my oil... again.

theres another one around here.

KimNCSU has a black one. Dude called technocoy on the vx boards has a silver one and works over off of glenwood.

Mine's been at carmax all week. I've got a couple of sailing company stickers on my rear side windows.

my plate is ISUZOOM.

no idea.

Sometime that gets lifter tick really easy?

he might mean direct injection which isn't in the production version. Although isuzu has a DI engine they put in later Rodeos and Axioms, the VX doesn't have it. It'll bolt right in though. (which is what I want if my engine decides to go tits up)
