^which prof? i've had 4, most of which were good. i found summer spanish classes to be alot easier than academic year spanish classes. its only a little over a month long, so you can remember the first day of class while taking the final exam provided you put in a decent level of studying.

I had some lady who just knew spanish so she was teaching it, but didn't have an advanced degree & only taught during the summer I think for fls110 (a fast paced combo of 101 & 102 which I had placed into). Her teaching style, & maybe the pace of the class was not for me. You need a really good professor to fit fls 101 & 102 into a month.

Dolan knew her stuff & her class was easy b/c it was 101.

Sendra was a grad student, she had a bit of an accent, but was very easy to identify with & get along with if you kept up with the work for 102.

Dr. Kennedy was the sweetest of all the ladies who taught me spanish. I had more trouble with her class, perhaps because it was the only one not in a summer sesion. But she made sure anyone who put forth effort got a grade reflecting that effort, rather than one that reflected exactly how much spanish grammar/word quantity you knew. Shes a very arts & crafts type person. Lots of pictures, in class group work, very social, & she even had a fiesta with food she & other students brought in. Some playing of spanish music & minimal traditional teaching that day. Her class felt more like a continuation of high school spanish classes just at a more advanced level.

can you do this if you have already taken (and failed) 201?

I haven't yet, but if it's a C wall class, things aren't looking good.

i had 3 spanish classes to take. 1 first summer session, another the 2nd summer session, and wrap up in the fall. the fall is the hardest that way cause its the highest lvl spanish course you'll take & its longer, but its the quickest way to get them all done in a row so that you can remember the stuff throughout all the classes.

for my chass req i needed to just pass 101 & 102. so i took them for credit only. For 201 I had to do it for a grade, I'm sure of that, also maybe it had to be higher than a C-.

^^ You could look at your degree audit, I'm pretty sure that C wall courses are marked.

https://packtracks.ncsu.edu/scripts/RegRec/ada_dgtt.pl <-- find your degree and if it doesn't have a 0 under "max d allowed" for your fl, then you don't have a c wall.

If we can take 201 and 202 at other colleges then I need to do that this summer, because I have a strong feeling that they may prevent me from graduating, on top of screwing up my GPA.

This is what I get for transfering into English.
