where is it at someone called me and theres wont start and that's the prob

they think they found it on the back of the engine block?

It's located on the driver's side, back where the engine block meets with the transmission bell housing.

It's a black, cylinder about the size of a coke can.

if someone can't find the starter, maybe they shouldnt be working on it.

chatup it was a kid who was trying to start his car while i was at work. he eventually found the starter, got it to turn over, but for only half a turn. the thread is dead.
