I just came across this
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Alu27eleSr.lKZSJCMq68WdDubYF?slug=cr-bushsuit042706&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

Quote :
"Michael Michaels, who owns the Spring Valley, Calif., home in which Reggie Bush's family lived for nearly a year, said Thursday he will file a $3.2 million lawsuit for fraud against the Bush family Friday to recoup unpaid rent and other finances given to the USC star's family.

Michaels' attorney, Brian Watkins, alleged Thursday night that Bush's mother and stepfather, Denise and LaMar Griffin, failed to pay $54,000 in rent for the home that has become the center of a joint Pacific 10 Conference and NCAA investigation. Watkins also said that Michaels supplied money to the Bush family, including financing that allowed them to travel to several USC road games last season.

what a pathetic attempt to cover your ass and their ass

who would let someone live in their house and not pay rent for a whole year? Especially when the rent is 54,000 for a year.

$2500 a month is just some rent?!?! It sounds like they were living in a fucking mansion beachhouse at that price.

Not really. I know in NYC the apartment company I live in down here has 2 BRs for $3,500 that are pretty run of the mill... This is downtown LA so I'm sure it's nice but not like a penthouse type deal or something..

what do you think you could get for $3900 a month though?

[Edited on April 30, 2006 at 6:55 PM. Reason : 15 seconds ago you said $3,000, and NYC is a hell of a lot more expensive than LA]

I changed it from 1 BR to 2 BR b/c I assume that is what they had.. unless there is some funny business going on b/t them...

LA isn't much less expensive then NYC if at all either.. I'm sure it was a nice place in a nice location but it's not like they were lliving in some mansion..

I saw a photo of the house in an AP story the Wilson Daily Times ran Thursday or Friday. It's a pretty nice looking place. I think that story said the owner purchased the house for about $750k.

i was doing some quick looking on the la times website and finding an apartment for 3000-5000 a month is easy. some are 3 bedroom, not 2 bedroom, but the amount of rent isnt crazy(relatively of course)

While the Bush situation is suspect, to be honest, the Leinhart crap is ridiculous.

Yeah Leinart did jack shit...so what if the guy bumed off his teammate....unless it was set up by the coach to get him to play for USC, there's nothing wrong with it.
