Whatshappening, I am living in Lakeland, Fl this summer and working for at an engineering firm as a summer intern. I am looking for a place to stay and a lot of the apartments are full and/or require a 7-month lease. Does anyone know a good website to go to to find a sublease or have any recommendations what I can do about housing. I have called up some churches down there and see what they recommend but none of them really have any good suggestioins.

I also wouldnt mind commutting from Tampa or Orlando to Lakeland if I had to. Well, thanks a lot for yalls help and I look forward to reading some post in a little bit. Thanks!

I was born in Lakeland, FL. Unfortunately, I moved when I was 3 so I know absolutely nothing about the area. Good luck though. Have you tried google?

i have been there to a racetrack before. it is a neat little area. there are a TON of nice looking apartments around the interstate. i am sure you will be able to find something.

you'll be just east of Tampa, and thats good. I enjoyed my time there. i'd tell you more about what to do, but i dont know what youre into. theres really something for everyone...
