ive been tryin to get rid of some spyware/virus for a week or so...

this morning when i ran adaware/spysweeper, something was found and i told it to delete

now i have no internet connection, i am being told that there is no TCP/IP found everytime i restart

also, i receive a warning message each time i restart...something like "file tried to access "0x081072" blah blah blah....ok to terminate or cancel to debug"

i need some help getting this shit figured out

anyone wanna take a look? or i could bring the box to someone....

CHECK YOUR STACKDUMP SETTINGS

IF IT IS SET TO 0x081072 THEN YOU NEED TO INSTALL DR. SBAITSO IMMEDIATELY

ONCE YOU HAVE IT INSTALLED, YOU NEED TO ASK IT ABOUT SEXY STUFFS

could be you just need to reinstall the TCP/IP protocal:

Right click your 'My Network Places' icon and select 'Properties'
Right click your current interent connection and select 'Properties'
Look at the list to see if 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' is installed
If not click the 'Install' button at the bottom and install it.

This might work, though i'm not sure what you can do about the memory error you're getting or why TCP/IP ever got uninstalled in the first place. Good Luck.

If you're thinking of doing the system restore, at least try some of the google results:
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/xptcpiprepair.html looks like it might offer some help, though I've never used it.

In the past i've heard of adaware causing winsock issues on some computers. http://4peeps.com/ivb/index.php?showtopic=19022 See if the info here helps

Hijack this shows you a list of all sorts of little nasty software things that are running (either in windows or in internet explorer or both, I can't be sure). Basically you can go through and delete things in there that look suspicious (Like "AwesomeVirusThatRapedYourCat2000.exe") so that they don't start up the next time around. It'll also give you a clue of where to start looking for stuff to delete (since it'll show you the directory of the program that runs at startup).
