i think a 48-hour turnaround time would be more reasonable for scantrons, and perhaps a 72-hour turnaround time for essay exams depending on the class size?
or just notice about when the grades will be up "i know this exam is on monday, but i wont have grades posted until a week from now"

would help my obsessive checking and hoping a bit at least.

so i just checked my grades
and somehow one of my classes isn't showing up, and it says i only have 9 hrs this semester
but under my class schedule it shows all my classes (12 hrs)

weird.

True. and the essay exams (and every other exam that isn't submitted on scantron) are the reason that a blanket 24hr policy is unreasonable.

The fastest I've ever gotten a grade was an essay exam. The slowest I've ever gotten a grade was when we had everything turned in the Friday before exams. The grades were LA for like three days until that Friday.
