Damn I can't find tickets for this thing listed online anywhere. The presale is sold out & Ticketmaster is not even showing the event.

Are you going Ian? Have you already scored tickets?

I almost wouldn't mind going. But I'll be at work until at least 5 pm and then the drive from Ahoskie to there is 130 miles and all on just back roads and highways, so no interstates to blast down. I'd probably be lucky if I could get there before 8 or 8:30.

ill be catching this show tonite at HOB in Myrtle.
Nevermore opening for Opeth was fucking awesome. I don't expect anything less this time around.
I'm hoping In Flames does better this time. The first time I saw them they were okay.
I've never seen Evergrey perform before but from what I've heard they kill live.

i would, but i fucking missed their set.
i couldn't get to hob until 7:30 (i usually show up pretty early) when the show was supposed to start. however when i showed up nevermore had already started their set and apparently evergrey had either gone on before them or not played at all. so i had to sit through throwdown's shitty set. by the end of that i was ready to break some hardcore kid's spine.

nevermore despite having stand-ins for steve smyth and jim sheppard rocked the place out. i got close enough to stand in awe of jeff loomis's guitar playing.

in flames made up for it though. they were dead on last night. hearing behind space and graveland live was fucking awesome.

however i'm still pissed about missing evergrey.

i figured at the very least throwdown would be the first on so it was okay if i showed up later than expected. but damn was i wrong.

i don't care if it's just warrel dane and a couple of circus monkeys. throwdown does not go on after nevermore and evergrey.
