My 04' Dodge Stratus has a set of Goodyear tires on it (I think the Eagle but I need to check to make sure) - 205/60/16 - I have less than 30k mileage on the car, bought it with 20k - 2 of my tires, diagonal to each other are worn on the inside, does this make much sense? I thought tires should last a LOT longer than this - warranty wouldn't cover the wear and tear either would it? 5/7/2006 8:09:28 PM |

If the tires are worn on the inside, I'd say your alignment needs checking. Sounds like a bit too much negative camber. I don't think any decent tire dealer would let you claim any warranty shit in this situation.
BTW, 30k miles isn't TOO bad (at least, not for me!)... 5/7/2006 8:14:34 PM |

Well I didn't find out that the tires were worn until I had the tires balanced, aligned, brakes changed and rotors turned (my car was shaking out of control)- now I just have to come up with the money to replace the tires, that have a 70k mile warranty on them at Wal-Mart, and I would have figured that mine would have atleast made it half way there

^ yea me too, 70,000 miles is perfect conditions w/o turning, stopping, or starting. Cut what ever they say in half...and thats only if your drive conservatively 5/7/2006 11:30:15 PM |
