Has anyone came back after failing out the first year and being gone for 3+ years. If so, how difficult was it?

yeah go for it. time (usually) brings maturity and self control
i do suggest you take a very light load the first semester back though. aclimation (and spelling) was the biggest hurtle i ever faced at state

It wasn't hard at all, just a lot of paperwork to complete and plenty of walking back-and-forth across campus.

I was on the readmission committee. We voted on select applications.

Your best bet is to go to community college for a semester and make fabulous grades. The committee loves that.

No I got tossed for being poor. My transcript's posted on a board on my wall for anyone who wants to see it.

But I was still out for 5 years and came back through the contract readmit process this past August.

i am a year away from having my associates in Pre-elementary education want to come back to get my bachelors degree in elementary education. I live in Wilmington now but would much rather live in Raleigh.

well one main reason is that my best friend lives there and its only 40 min away from my family. If i dont get accepted back to NC State we'll probably just go to UNC-W.

Isnt that harder to get into than State. My grades are good now though so i guess that could be a possibility.
