Summer courses are always easier than the full semester counterparts, so take it!
Even if it's not easier, it's over quicker, which essentially means the same thing.

Here's what some previous students said about Kimbrough; and I may be way off, but I thought "Policies & Strategy" was BUS 480? 5/9/2006 1:57:23 PM |

If 462 in the summer is easy, take that + 463
Whatever you do, avoid Greg Young at all costs. Seriously, graduate a semester late to avoid this guy. You won't find one honest human being that has anything positive to say about him if they know this guy. 5/9/2006 3:29:46 PM |

^ i'm also taking BO 360 intro to ecology & BO 365 lab
so i don't know if 462 + 463 would be too much of a load for a summer session 5/9/2006 3:36:23 PM |

^ If one or the other was in Summer Session II or a 10-week course, you'd be fine w/ 9-10 hours if you're willing to stay focused.
I've done 12 hours in a summer and didn't feel it was too much, but everyone's work ethic is different. 5/9/2006 3:38:11 PM |

i'm taking 463 with kimbrough this summer
along with 480 with young
i don't really have a choice in this matter, so what the fuck
also kimbrough is chill as fuck, it should be a breeze 5/10/2006 1:00:08 PM |

^ I think Young grades too harsh.. his grade distributions don't look so hot, but there are still some people who got As in his class in the past, so i guess if you concentrate on his class more than others you could pull an A
I ended up having to sign up for 462 marketing research w/ kimbrough this summer b/c it fit with my other classes for summer
I'll be taking 463 w/ kimbrough in the Fall 5/10/2006 7:00:11 PM |

No, you misunderstand.
There's no possible way to know what you're going to make w/ Young. For example, in BUS 201 I did Project A exactly as he wanted, and got a 43 (yes.)
I did Project B exactly as he wanted and got a 91. I didn't change a thing between the two, I followed instructions precisely.
He's a fucking moron. 5/10/2006 7:03:05 PM |

He has, and he doesn't care.
He was suspended one semester for such horrid reviews, but I'm 99% certain he's a tenure track so basically he can do whatever he wants and won't get fired (gotta love the Research 1 philosophy).
This University always has been, and always will be, about the professors/articles/research and not about the Students.
I absolutely love NC State and was blessed to have some amazing profs in my major who actually loved teaching, but the whole system of "the university" is freaking terrible. Another story for another day, just don't take Young. 5/10/2006 7:13:50 PM |

I'm quoting this for you, so after you get in his course you can return to this thread and eat these words.
He is that bad.
