I need to replace my audio cables because I am getting a lot of noise. Does anyone have any recs? Or a better place to buy from? I am looking at this line, but don't really know a whole lot about them:

btw - i found some online for 100$+ and I am not interested in that price level. I don't have anything crazy going on, just need a better line to my component amp. 5/10/2006 12:49:32 PM |

You are talking about RCAs. How do you have yours run, and what do you have now? 5/10/2006 1:21:52 PM |

Yeah RCAs. I just have 2 going from the head unit through the track next to the door? and then to the back where my amp is located. Then each one has a Y connector and 4 RCAs go into the amp.
Am I correct in assuming that that amazon link is for just 1 cable and not a pair? 5/10/2006 1:28:27 PM |

That is correct, that is for one cable. Do you have the power wire and the RCA run on opposite sides of the car? 5/10/2006 2:17:48 PM |

Yeah I do.
I think the problem is that my RCA's are total crap and not shielded at all. Think of the cheapest RCAs you might have laying around the house to connect your original NES system to your receiver and that's what I have .
Any opinion on the ones I posted, or recs on others? I also saw some shielded monster cables @ crutchfield. The monster Y connectors were a lot cheaper than the Zero Noise ones as well.

you just need a generic sheilded pair of cables... walmart sells them for like $20 5/10/2006 2:50:57 PM |

Any thoughts on the ones I linked to? I don't mind spending an extra 20 bucks to not buy from Walmart. 5/10/2006 2:54:51 PM |

make sure its not a bad ground issue first. i mean those have to be some really really shitty rca wires to cause significant noise just from electromagnetic interference 5/10/2006 8:33:55 PM |
