Ok, I feel like a 5 year old not being able to find how to get rid of this sound, but everytime AIM signs on, it plays a sound sorta like an arrow being shot. That's my best description. But i've basically looked under every preference tab and cannot find how to shut that damn thing up. I've basically disabled every sound I could find. Plz to help a brotha out.

Oh yeah, i'm running AIM version 5.5.3598

My Aim....Read Mail (trust me)

itll take you to an email site, log in with your AIM sn and pw, delete the mail

yea i had the same problem

then i saw in the taskbar that a mailbox thing kept blinking, so i went to read mail and was like wtf
