I have to mail 2 passport photos off for my grad school ID, so they can have them ready for us in August. I can't send in electronic copies or photos printed off a computer (cause that would make life too easy). I've seen signs around Raleigh for passport photos; anyone know where is the cheapest?

should be nearly the same everywhere, but the phone can't be too far away.

There are thousands of places, all within a few dollars of each other... best advice is to pick something close and you're done.

the cheapest place is going to be a 1 hour photo lab, either a CVS or an eckerd, and it usually takes less than 30 minutes from start to finish

wow, just go anywhere man, do you really need to find the absolute cheapest, i mean maybe one play with charge you 2.99, and another will charge you 3.99, the time you spent worrying about where to go could've been used to make the buck difference alright?

Last time I got them done was over 10 years ago and it was like $20 - I didn't realize it had gotten so cheap now. Thanks, I'll just find the nearest place and get it handled. Just wanted to make sure I didn't feel ripped off every time I looked at this picture for the next five or so years.

if you have a digital camera and photoshop you can make your own. I made mine and spent 20 cents at target for 2 copies.

That's going to cause that much static in your head if you paid $20 for some photos...wow.

if you are an American Citizen you can go anywhere to get them done, but if you are a foreigner, not all places will do them b/c of the requirements for other countries.

I looked at Triple A...but over $40 for the year? Is there some sort of student rate I can't find?

i think AAA is worth the membership. you also get free maps & travel guides plus discounts at hotels and even some places like new york & company (wtf who would have thought!)

not to mention they have saved my ass on multiple occasions from need to be towed, running out of gas, flat tire & getting pulled out of a ditch

<3 AAA

^^ I had mine done at the post office as well. It was convenient, but a few bucks more than some other places. It was $15 for 2 pics.
