ok, don't laugh but i can't do it myself.
since i was 16, we've been using the good old family mechanic and just brought our own oil and filter. where the heck can i go here in Raleigh that will do it? merchant's said they couldn't unless I bought their own product ($40 extra for synthetic oil??) and jiffy lube next to where i work wanted to charge me $55 for it plus a tire rotation.

i need a good noncorporate place to go.

you could learn to do it yourself - it's not that bad - get together with some other guys that need to do it at the same time and drink some beers - buy in bulk and use the extra at a later time or split it amongst ppl

Western Blvd. Exxon, right next to Pams Farmhouse, thoes boys always hook me up. Thats what i do, and most of the time you can leave your car for the afternoon or just get an appointment like the next day.

it doesnt matter because if i could, the complex doesnt even allow washing cars, let alone working on them here.

That's why you need to have friends with driveways/garages.

Umm, go to a strip mall and park out back

Or

Go to autozone and do it there. As long as you're not right in front of the store they should care.

I saw a guy changing out an axle there once.

precision tune on western blvd will do it for you for like $10-12 + tax (regular oil change with their oil and filter is like 15 + tax i think). either that or one of the guys above^
